Not one but two films about Pukapuka: Our Atoll Speaks!

BIG SURPRISE!!

Thanks to your support in 2015 and the funding we received in 2017 from the UNDP GEF Small Grants Programme, hosted by the Cook Islands Red Cross Society,  youʻll enjoy not one but two films about Pukapuka! This 14-minute forthcoming short documentary Our Atoll Speaks (KO TALATALA MAI TŌ MĀTOU WENUA) is a meditation on climate change and indigenous knowledge.  Everyone in Pukapuka/Nassau contributed to this communal film project.

Take a look at the teaser trailer and learn more about the making of this film at Our Atoll Speaks Talcual Films webpage. The voice you hear is beautiful Johnny’s Frisbie and the film narration came from interviews with people in Pukapuka/Nassau from 2015 to 2017.
